Buckingham Street - London - we were employed as Surveyor and Interior Designer to update and improve this Grade II Listed building in London.Works included the re-levelling of all floors, major structural works to improve the basement accommodation and the stabilisation of the central staircase followed by interior and exterior repairs and redecoration. Specialist works included the cleaning and repair to an original Adam fireplace, conservatively valued at £10,000- £15,000

Original Elizabethan Carvings - we undertook an initial survey of a property in High Street Exeter with the preparation of both internal and external proposals for the various Statutory Consents. From the initial survey, it was evident that this Grade II Listed building illustrated many fascinating aspects of the building’s development from its very early origins through to the present day. With the exposure of 16th Century Tudor carvings, the building slowly unravelled to reveal its earliest medieval origins through to Jacobean and Georgian adaptations, together with associated architectural features which have remained largely covered, and partially undisturbed in some locations, for over 200 years. Imagine our delight to discover the building’s ultimate secret, its medieval hall house roof with the original painted decoration. This was not only a unique ‘architectural gem’ in the centre of Exeter, but also a building of local and national historical importance.

Priest House Museum - A full Building Survey was undertaken on this historic Elizabethan town house dating from the 16th Century. This Grade II Listed Building retains many original features, therefore, the structure and fabric needed a sympathetic approach to the survey.

United Reformed Church in Exeter - Ellis Belk Associates Limited undertook an initial survey of the United Reformed Church in Exeter and prepared a specification for extensive external stone repair. Our involvement also included initial advice to the United Reformed Church regarding an earlier rope access survey. This was followed by our own assessment of the Church’s tower and spire, the production of a Schedule of Repair and its subsequent tender.Financial arrangements are currently being prepared for the extensive stone conservation, repair and cleaning of not only the spire ashlar stonework, but also the decorative trefoil and quatrefoil windows. In addition, the conservation and repair to the gothic style door and attached columns through to the more mundane repointing of rubble stone and local ‘Heavitree’ stonework.
